Brand Identity

“Jennifer is truly gifted in the work she does. For a few years, I have gathered various ideas to represent a logo I would be very happy with. In that time, I have worked with two graphic designers who ‘listened’ to my ideas but, their interpretation seemed to be more their own idea and did not represent what I had envisioned. Jennifer not only listened to my ideas, she has an organized method of coming to a final design that is much more stress free than other designers I have worked with. I absolutely love the logo we came up with together! Not only is the design perfect, she is a joy to work with!  I look forward to working with her on many future projects.” —Cynthia Young

Cynthia knew that she wanted a soothing workspace. Something that reminded her of the beach. I knew we would use the beach as our inspiration for colors. Have you ever google beach photos? Depending on the time of the day, we could see cool colors vs warm colors and a ton of them. This is where I had to narrow our focus by giving multiple color palettes. I chose morning sunrise (which gave us more pastel cool colors) and evening sunset (which gave us rich warm colors). Cynthia instantly knew the palette she wanted to use—sunset (and she made a fabulous choice).

The palette needed to relate to children as well as adults but also professional enough for her clients to trust her expertise.

I have to be honest, I had no idea what Orafacial Myofunctional Therapy was when Cynthia contacted me. Most of the time, when taking a new project, I spend a day or two researching the business or area of expertise that the client is presenting. This means I learn the definition first then ask a lot of questions. Cynthia guided me perfectly and patiently. Once I understood the service then it was my job to display this in a graphic/logo.

Just in case you are wondering, here is the definition of Orafacial Myofunctional Therapy.

The purpose of myofunctional therapy is to retrain the muscles and to obtain a normal resting posture of the tongue, lips and jaw. The approach to therapy emphasizes training in the correct resting postures of the tongue and lips all with the goal of facilitation proper nasal/diaphragm breathing.
